Mom

All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt. ~ Charles M. Schulz

Today’s quote is for my mom who raised us with all the love a mom could give. She constantly reminded us to make good memories and then proceeded to model how to do just that. While she can be deadly seriously at times, she tempers that with laughter…lots of laughter. Oh, and she LOVES chocolate!! If I can’t seem to figure out what to get her as a gift, it’s a safe bet I end up getting chocolate which, turns out, is always the best idea! Mom hails from a little bitty one-stop light town in Oklahoma, still has the country girl twang and yet travels all over the world empowering women to live their best lives now. I couldn’t be prouder of this women who raised me with a lot of love and a little bit of chocolate!

Tonight, I’d like to toast my mom…and all the moms in this world who live their love out loud! Thanks mom!

  1. Well that’s just the sweetest thing 🙂 Thank you so much for those kind words…and for bringing a VERY big smile to my face! Good memories and chocolate so go together! And make it dark chocolate too, since it’s so full of antioxidants and good for you; I actually prefer it now, surprise, surprise. Heard Dr Nancy Snyderman say, “Dark chocolate is so good for you it should be in a category all on its own!” How’s that for confirmation?! She did go on to dampen my spirits by saying it should be consumed in small amounts 😦

Love you darlin’; thanks again for such a sweet rememberance. It’s like Grandma Presley used to say, ‘Give me roses while I’m livin’ so I can enjoy them with you.’ Sweet, huh. And you do.

  2. I’m in a really little, less than 1500 population, historic town, Montello WI, heading for a conference representing Women’s Ministries, resting today and reading some twitter tweets. This one brought a smile to my face and a tug to my heart ❤️ I love you so much Jonathan. Praying you have a great day, Mom
